The Language Fest, Varnatulika was hosted on the 16th of December on the theme Namma Mysuru. The theme, as a prospect for literary and creative output, had been dispensed off to the language learners during the previous semester. Accordingly it poured out of creative minds as manifestations in essay writing, art, drama and oratory. These endeavours were duly accredited during the fest.

Ms. Sandra Simon, a cine artist from the Malayalam industry, who currently serves a faculty in the Department of Psychology at Christ University, Bangalore, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The college choir flagged of the day with a soul stirring rendition of the Mahishasura mardini stotram, as a befitting tribute to the patron deity of Mysore, Devi Chamundeshwari. Rev Fr Biju P D, Principal, Christ College, Mysuru presided over the function and wholeheartedly congratulated the faculty and students for their tireless efforts at executing the fest with finesse. The students dedicated the day to revel in the manifold horizons of Language, which unfolded as not only literature but also theatre, discussions, cinema and art.
