Department of Commerce, formally set up in 2016, is exploring new frontiers of knowledge and innovation in academics. The Department has the pride of being the premier institution for course curriculum development, teaching and research in Commerce discipline. The rapid growth of the Department of Commerce is reflected in its expansion as well as novelty in its academic programmes.

Understanding the students and making them excellent: To empower the students with knowledge and knowledge sharing which makes the student more reliable.
Academic objective: Our primary objective is to enable every student to cope up with the latest developments in global level through effective transaction of the curricular and co-curricular aspects.
Professional Etiquette: The capacity building of our graduates to assume productive roles are emphasized during their stay in the college and to inculcate the habit of lifelong learning. The ultimate objective is to produce commerce graduates who possess the skills, problem solving tools and professionalism essential for being successful.
Commitment: The College is focused on the all-round development of the students personality through proper education and exposure to the vast treasure of knowledge, sports facilities and by providing platforms for their well-being.
The courses offered is Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com).The course curriculum is updated on a regular basis keeping in view the academic and industry requirements and students are engaged in assignments, seminar presentations, industrial visits and are evaluated through internal assessment and examinations.
Value Added Courses
Department has initiated Company Secretary programme from the academic year 2018-19. The classes commenced on August 20, 2018
Fests & Industrial Visits
BONITAS -An initiative of department of commerce and management. The fest includes FDP for faculties and events which enable students to brainstorm
2018-19 Students were taken for a visit to NESTLE in the month of September.
2017-18 Students were taken for a visit in the month of August to KSIC,Mysuru.(Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation) and also to MYMUL (Mysuru Milk Union Limited)
A talk on ‘Union Budget’ was conducted in the year 2017-18 by Ms. Pragnya Doulatram
A talk on ‘Budget Analysis’ was conducted in the year 2016-17 by Dr. Kumaraswamy.
