Mysuru 4 th feb 2019: Decked in festive colours and fervor the Department of Business Administration of Christ college Mysuru had organised a one-day state level workshop “MINERVA “on “Digital Marketing”. Ms Manasi K G, an independent social media coach, trainer and consultant was the resource person for the day along with Rev Fr Biju P D, Principal Christ college, Rev Fr Suraj Abraham, the academic coordinator and Rev Fr Shoji Jacob, administrator, Mrs Archana,coordinator of BBA inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp. “Watch your thoughts as they become your actions, Watch your actions as they become your habits, Watch your habits as they become your character, Watch your character as they become your destiny”, Quoted Rev Fr Biju, during his presidential address. Youth being the most powerful resources on the earth, he inspired the students to be the future of tomorrow and the partners of today. He emphasized on the importance of team work and togetherness to bring out an era of revolution. The presidential address was followed by the session handled by Ms Manasi. She did strike on the value of happiness, where sincerity, commitment, hard work and dedication can finally afford it. She entrap mainly on digital marketing, components of digital marketing, channels of digital marketing, advent of social media, OPLM methodology, digital advertising, search engine optimization etc. She opined “Market yourself. Don’t run behind job, let the job run behind you”. Having a decade of experience in the field of digital marketing she explained the scope of excelling as a web designer, content writer, social media expert, plan expert, crisis manager etc. The post lunch session progressed with the quiz competition “BIZ QUIZ” for the budding master minds. Out of 25 teams, 5 teams were selected for the main round. wherein, Hindustan First Grade College excelled as the winners and Teresian Degree College came to be the runners up. On the occasion of valedictory, “MINERVA” was indeed fortunate by the presence of Mr Rohith M Patel, MD and CEO of Vidwath innovative solutions private limited, Mysuru, as the guest of honor. He delivered the advantages of being an entrepreneur. He also added the right decision of being a BBA graduate and the great opportunities awaiting for them in various fields like marketing, finance, administration, entrepreneurship etc. “student life is the best platform to showcase the talents and to bring the best in them” he opined. Mr Rohith M Patel, Rev Fr Biju P D and Mrs Archana distributed the prizes and the participation certificates to the students from various colleges. Around 100 + students from 15 colleges across Mysuru, Hassan, Koppa and the students of Christ college participated in the workshop. John Nikhil and Jibin Jose of 2nd BBA mastered the ceremony. Akshay Aroza of 2nd BBA and Lena Sebastian of 1st BBA welcomed the gathering. Alwin Tomy and Rahul of 1st BBA proposed the vote of thanks.
