Harmony between man, machine defines future trend
On 11th September 2019, Friday, the Department of Commerce organized “EMPORIO”- a National Conference on Emerging Trends in Commerce at Christ College, Srirampura, Mysuru. Conference commenced at 9:30am as the Chief Guest Dr. D. Anand, (Board of Studies, BIMS, University of Mysore), President of the ceremony Rev. Fr. Biju P.D. (Principal Christ College Mysuru), Dr. Kalashree, Dr. Dilshad Begum and Mr. V. Shankar Kumar (HOD Dept. of Commerce and the Conference Chair) lit the ceremonial lamp. During the inaugural address Dr. D. Anand shared his insights on how people being connected through e-commerce, community and communication among themselves. He also mentioned about future trends in the field where harmony between man and machines will be emphasized on. Including research scholars, academicians and students, more than 60 participants from all over India were present for paper presentation and as attendees. The panelists for Accounting and Taxation track was Dr. Kalashree, Assistant Professor, Government First Grade College, Hunsur and for the E-commerce Track, Dr. Dilshad Begum, Assistant Professor, Government First Grade College,Mandya. The valedictory ceremony started at 4:30pm. The chief guest of the ceremony, Fr. Dr. Varghese K. J. President, St Thomas Education Society- Christ College Mysore spoke about spiritual quotient being equally important in our life, and also he reminded the gathering on serving INDIA must be the main objective of every youth. During the valedictory, best paper in each track was awarded. Rev. Fr. Biju P D, Principal, Rev Fr.Suraj K Abraham, Academic Coordinator, Mr.V Shankar Kumar, Conference Convenor and HOD, Department Of Commerce, Mrs. Archana N, Mrs. Leela Sabatini, Mr. Manoj M D, Mr. Robin, Mrs. Mythri A Simha, Mrs. Rashmi D, Staffs and students were present at the event.
