Circular on Reopening of the College
Greetings from Christ College!
With reference to the University of Mysore guidelines on 09.11.2020 and 13.11.2020, Christ College, Mysuru, reopens the campus for the offline classes from 4thJanuary 2021 in a phased manner, ensuring safety, health and well-being of all students and staff.
In the first phase all the final year students are encouraged to come on the campus for the offline classes. Students and Parents should follow the guidelines, advisories and instructions issued by the government authorities and University authorities as well as by the college regarding health and safety measures in view of covid-19 pandemic. As per the instructions from the university, all the students who are attending offline classes to carry Consent Letter of their Parents/Guardians and the Real Time RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction) Test result for the COVID-19 virus is compulsory for attending the offline classes. Attending regular classes either offline or online is mandatory. All the students and parents are requested to read and understand the instructions clearly for your safety and security. The following are the instructions;
i. Self-discipline is most important to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic through social distancing and maintaining hygienic condition.
ii. All students should wear face covers/ masks, gloves and take all preventive measures.
iii. Thermal scanning of students, wearing of face covers/ mask, sanitizing of hands etc. will be ensured at the entry point.
iv. Discrimination of fellow students in respect of whom there is a history of COVID-19 disease in the family be avoided.
v. Sharing of books, other learning material and eatables be avoided.
vi. All students should carry warm water, food and snacks from the home to the college.
vii. Those having symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty in breathing will not be allowed to enter.
viii. All students should learn how to cough or sneeze into a tissue or elbow and avoid touching face, eyes, mouth, and nose.
i. The consent letter of the Parent/ Guardian is a must to attend the offline classes on the campus. (Please see the form enclosed)
ii. Ask your ward to practice physical/social distancing at all times once she/he
iii. The parents should ensure that their children observe safety norms at home and whenever they go out.
iv. Parents should not allow their children to go out, if they are not feeling well.
v. Parents should sensitize them of healthy food habits and measures to increase immunity.
vi. Clean and sanitize your ward’s dress materials and other belongings daily.
vii. Encourage your ward to wear full-sleeved clothes to minimize the interaction with
any public surface.
viii. Drop and pick your ward from college, as far as possible.
The students those who wish to come on the campus and to attend the offline classes are requested to inform your respective class teachers on or before 28thDecember 2020 through your official email. All the students are instructed to plan your travel, stay and other necessary arrangements well in advance. Once you reach here, please avoid unnecessary travel to your native places and other places. All the students, once they start attending offline classes need to produce leave letter with valid reason whenever if they go absent and comeback again.
