​Bachelor of Computer Application [BCA]

Overview

The BCA course challenges you to push beyond data and code, integrating computational thinking with critical analysis. It is one of the most opted courses to be offered for a career in Information Technology. The course work provides a sound academic base for an advanced career in computer applications. Key areas of computer studies and industrial computing along with the required analysis and synthesis involved in the information systems is ingrained in the curriculum. After the successful completion of the program, a student should be able to get entry level job in the field of Information Technology or ITES. BCA graduates can also start their career as programmers and rise to that of senior programmers.

Syllabus

Flexible Choice-Based Credit System with Continuous Assessment Grading Pattern (CBCS-CAGP).

 

The college follows the prescribed syllabus of the University of Mysore which gets updated from time to time. In an effort to move towards the complete version of the CBCS-CAGP scheme as emphasised by the UGC and to provide greater autonomy, the University has permitted all the departments to run the programmes under Flexible CBCS-CAGP from 2017-18.

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed in 10+2/Pre University Course/ Equivalent grade, with 50 % aggregate are eligible to apply.
